Automation Associates launches RF Pathways WMS
at Spinrite's Distribution Centre
Listowell, Ontario, Dec 2005 - Spinrite Yarns,
a Canadian owned producer of quality yarn products, has launched
RF
Pathways WMS by Automation Associates. The launch is being
made official after successfully operating the facility for
over two months.
With the growth rate that Spinrite has achieved over the past few years, a real time WMS with a proven interface to Visual Manufacturing was needed. This distribution centre services large corporate entities, like Wal-Mart, throughout North America. There are strictly enforced performance requirements that are difficult to achieve, and harder to maintain, if running in a paper-based environment. Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to Spinrite. To deliver the best possible service and to provide their customers with new features and capabilities, automation was needed. RF Pathways WMS has allowed Spinrite to provide what is most in demand among their customer base.
Automation Associates worked with Spinrite to provide a comprehensive design that incorporated management alerts, web order entry and inquiries, expanded product attributes, productivity reports and labour tracking capabilities. The goal set and achieved was to ensure that existing and future clients would be fully serviced with real time, state of the art functionality.
