Vancouver, BC – August 2009 -Purdy’s Chocolates, a Canadian owned producer of quality food products, announced the successful installation of RF Pathways WMS on August 4, 2009. The launch was made official by Peter Higgins, Chief Operating Officer, Duncan Johnston, CFO and Grant Harris, Manager of Distribution and Logistics.

“Our Company was managing its supply chain from the proverbial clipboard with manual pick tickets and pen strokes to confirm fulfillment and shipping distributions.  We purchased and implemented the RF Pathways WMS product and have now embarked upon the road to 100% inventory accuracy.  The support from RF Pathways has been solid,” states Grant Harris, Manager, Distribution and Logistics. “When we needed to amend the WMS programming to fit our variable business practices they have proven to be flexible and responsive to our needs and delivered the changes on time and on budget.”

Purdys implemented RF Pathways WMS v4.280 at their two distinct operating divisions, manufacturing and distribution, to meet the needs of the significant growth in chocolate sales across Canada.  The added complexity of two facilities and product production necessitated some custom programming within the WMS.  All aspects of the launch have been met and additional modifications deemed necessary delivered. 

RF Pathways WMS was chosen due to the ease of installation, simplified terminal processes, superior functionality and a willingness to modify the source code to meet the needs of operations.  This was a significant decision made by upper management as there had previously been a failed attempt to launch a WMS from a local vendor.
